since science and technology is becoming more and more important, school must emphasise more on teaching science and maths and less on teaching arts and humanities .Discuss to what extent do you agree or disagree

Nowadays it is believed that science and technology is becoming more essential in our daily life and schools should focus more on teaching subjects like science and maths rather than arts and humanities. I do not agree with the above statement and shall give my reason for the same in the following essay. Firstly subject like Arts plays an important role in student life as it makes a student think beyond their limits to create something creative and different. It forces them to use their imagination and it even helps to develop a critical thinking and the ability to interpret the world around them. Creativity can also improve health and bring happiness in a student’s life. Arts is a only platform where student have the freedom to express their ideas and thoughts. Secondly subject like humanity helps a student learn about the of values of the different cultures. It also give a student overview about the history of our great leaders. Humanity assist’s a student to understand other through their language and culture. Although in this day and age where world is all about science and technology. More and more innovation are taking over so it becomes a Necessity for school to teach science and technology but they should not avoid subjects like arts and humanities. To conclude, I feel that school should teach Arts and humanities as it plays an important role in student’s life rather than just focusing on science and technology
