Many students of varying ages from as little as 5 years up to 12 who attend school everyday have different means of travel. It seems students were significantly more active in the past in 1990 in comparison to the most recent study conducted in 2010.
According to statistics, there has been a huge increase of 6. 5 million student trips by car and subsequently there's been a decrease of 6 million of walking students. Additionally, The Number of cycling students have also depleted by 4 million. The students who travel by the school bus have also had a minor by 2 million
Even though the increase in car trips is phenomenal with it being the only form of transportation that has had an increase in usage, yet it still fails in comparison to the number of decrease in students travelling through other forms of transportation. This appears to be an odd occurence as the total decrease the other forms of transportation are not equal to the increase in student car trips.
