I partially agree with the view that prison is the only truly effective form of punishment, because it separates criminals from society, and in this essay, I will try to back up my point of view with support arguments. People often think that criminals are criminals, therefore they must land themselves in jail for their commitment, which I am in the same opinion as others. Depending on the way of their committed wrongdoing, the person or clan whoever responsible for their act should be sentenced through given jurisdictions, but it varies on damages that results from their criminal act. Humans are naturally born a “free” social animal and freedom is the precious yet basic need for individuals, and getting imprisoned through criminal act is the worst thing that could in human life happen. From here on, my point of view diverting into the tricky version, why people should be kept in jail, because of their bad acts. I can imagine, not every person who committed a so-called criminal act must not be punished through prison as the way of their faults are quite different. I am sure that they have been judged by the size of damage, and risk of repeating their criminal act, however locking them up in a prison will not solve the problem either. For instance, nations are offering psychologist to assist everybody who is vulnerable to awful actions to prevent them to fall in a nasty situation again, but at the end life expectation is the reflecting mirror of each country, if the state couldn’t perform well in terms of education, health and social sectors, the level of criminality remains concerning logically. In a nutshell, a prison sentence for dangerous criminals is undeniable, however not every person, who committed a crime, is deserved longer imprisonment as some of them might be just a victim of the incorrect social arrangements, or self-protection.
