People who start an university course but do not complete it should be fined. VoO
Some people hold a belief that students who do not accomplish their university course should be punished. In my opinion, students themselves have their right to decide to quit a course according to these following reasons.
To begin with, students drop the course because they lose their interest in the lectures and FIND SOMETHING MORE VALUABLE FOR THEM TO SPEND THEIR TIME. If they are forced to do something they do not like, they can not work or study effectively.
What is more, students who register a course have to pay a fee before attending the class. Then, if they decide to drop out, they have already lost an amount of money. An extra fine in this circumstance, therefore, is not necessary, reasonable and fair for the students.
Last but not least, there may be some objective reasons that hinder the students to finish their course. To make it clear, financial burden is one the factors which halt the university students to continue studying.
In conclusion, I do believe that students should not be fined when they decide to quit an university course because of the reasons mentioned above.
