Today most countries are experiencing rapid population growth, especially in Cities area which creates different types of problems in human life as well as in the environment. Overpopulation is becoming a major issue for many countries. Day by day people is facing a lot of problems because of the rapid increase in population. Both government and individuals should be able to tackle the situation created by overpopulation. To begin with, most people want to stay in a well and facilitated area which is an urban area because its population is growing day by day than in rural areas. Overpopulation can create different types of problems. One of the major problems is the increase in pollution. Most countries are tackling this pollution. People love to stay in city area which helps to development of different industries and factories which polluted environment by mixing garbage and wastages in water source throwing in land and also it is making air pollution by its smoke. In the dry season, every year Nepal comes in the first position in the polluted country because of air pollution. A huge number of vehicles run over the city area which creates a lot of smoke and dust in the air due to this it is polluting air. Secondly, rapid population growth can cause poverty in city area. Every year we can hear a news that people are dying because of starvation its main cause is poverty. Overpopulation can lead to people poverty because people are not getting good jobs to support their families. There are limited resources but citizens are in high numbers which can create a lack. Even in some countries, people are not able to earn 1 dollar in a day. In Nepal every year a huge number of youth people go to a foreign country for employment because they are not able to sustain their life in the city area. Government should support citizens to stay and work in the rural area by teaching them a skill. In a nutshell, now most countries are facing an overpopulation problem. It has become a global problem. Especially, in urban areas, people want to settle which has increased the population rate due to its day by day people are facing a different kinds of problems like poverty, pollution, and many more. Government should provide opportunities for people to stay in rural areas by developing them.
