Does the internet unite or divide?
Does the internet unite or divide? jENaL
In the last few years, the internet has become an integral part of our lives. Some people think that the internet keeps people away from normal life and sociality, while others argue that this is a completely wrong idea.
On the one hand, most of the young people are completely cut off from normal life, they spend all their days playing games or watching something in front of the computer. In this case, naturally, it allows the spread of obesity among young people. In addition, because of this situation, young people can get away from their lessons and useful activities such as reading books.
But on the other hand, thanks to the internet, Generation Z is really open-minded and very successful in expressing themselves. In addition to this, the internet has introduced various applications into our lives and thanks to these applications, people can meet and make friends with more people than they could possibly encounter in normal life. In addition, many people who have been ostracized by their friends at school can find friends here. Or, adult people can find their partners by meeting from applications such as Tinder. In other words, the Internet certainly does not cut people off from sociality, on the contrary, it offers them more opportunities to socialize. But I think be careful when talking to people you meet on the internet because these people have the potential to be swindlers or fakes.
So, in conclusion, I am against the idea that the internet divides people. It may be true that the internet has some downsides. But it is an undeniable fact that there are more good sides.
