The objectivity of truth is supported by many people than the subjectivity of it when it is reported. In the present context, I completely agree to the aforementioned statement and I believe that the news coming out through the media outlets is not always correct. News publishing agencies in general and Newspapers in particular plays a major role in disseminating the right information to the public.
Most of the prominent broadcasting agencies now are owned by big businesses which results in the reports they publish being biased in their favour. Often times, the information which could adversely affect such businesses would get brushed under the carpet and public would remain unaware of such news. This is true in the case of government controlled news channels as well as they always try to project a good image of the government in front of the public. This is exemplified by the national channel in North Korea which always manipulates news to depict their government as a saviour.
Even with the advent of internet, newspapers still remain as the major information source for the masses, especially in developing and less developed countries. They bank on the authenticity of the reports published in them and hence newspapers play a critical role in their daily lives. Firstly, they serve as a window for the people to know the happenings around the world. Moreover, advertisements published in the newspapers allows individuals and businesses alike by revealing the job and business opportunities respectively.
To conclude, I am of the opinion that the news published by news agencies are not always true as they have hidden agendas to support businesses and governments. Newspapers play a major role in peoples lives as it allows them to be aware of information from around the world.
