The increase in the lifespan of humans is due to the advancements in the field of medicine where an antidote is available to most of the known diseases. These medicines are available either as western medicine or traditional medicine which is given to a patient as per his need.
India is the oldest civilization where the usage of medicine can be seen prominently known as Ayurvedic medicine, this is a traditional type of treatment where the usage of plant leaves, massage oils and natural way of curing methods are used on an individual. For instance, the state of Kerala is known as the home for ayurvedic medicine where people from all over the country reach out when doctors say there would not be any change in patients’ condition of disability after a surgery, but it has been proved wrong by the usage of traditional techniques.
On the other hand, modern methods of medical treatments are advancing as days are passing by and surgeries which were thought impossible are be done today where the usage of prosthetics, or heart transplantation or neurosurgery and the examples go on. However, the outcomes from both these can be 100% but there might be situations where a combination of these two can also be seen for treatment.
The time of recovery of individuals can be seen varying from the same type of surgery they have went through it is believed that the mental ability is a major factor. Through out time we have seen humans do wonder with the will and having the proper mindset because it helps them to focus and recover, nevertheless traditional or western methods both have their own significance in the way people are treated.
