Having a pet at home is a sign of persons affection towards animals. Sometime, money matters less compare to important things.
Firstly, there are various types of Pets in this planet and some of them are living with humans due to there affection, innocent and loving nature. People keep dogs at home for loving nature, safety, companionship and be friends with children. It is common that, children like them the most. It is obvious that, when new family member joins, after sometime, it becomes part of the family and everyone love to spend time. There are times, have to spend money on buying stuff and special food, however, these are the basic needs, which must be fulfilled and take care as part of the owner responsibility.
Secondly, there are people who like Pets, however, do not want to spend money on them or treat them same as others. There could be some reasons behind it. For instance: Some people are allergic to touch them or go nearby to them as it could be due to previous bad experience where, they had bitten by them. In some cases, they think that animals are getting more attentions then us and expensive then what they are earning.
In conclusion, I would like to say that, in this World, loving pets shows a good sign of a person, and, with care and help, we can make this world a better place to live. There are advantages and disadvantages for both, however, it varies to every individual.
