In recent years, genetic engineering has developed a lot for humans, animals and plants. Some people believe these developments are necessary, while others regard them as dangerous and advocate a return to more traditional methods. PwjLj
Some people argue that genetic engineering is harmful for human life and demand to get back to old-school techniques, while the others believe that genetic modification is essential for our lives, which I completely agree with this term.
The opponents believe that this kind of rectification is dangerous. They think that genetic modification is the main reason of the appearance of new allergies and auto-immune system diseases and the interference in natural process will have bad results on the future of human-kind. They also state that the food that are altered don’ taste like they used to and they are tasteless, so they advocate the traditional agriculture. The religious people who are against the genetic engineering believe that it is immoral to change what God has made, so we should let it be and do not interfere with the normal procedure.
The supporters of these kind of methods believe that genetic modification has helped us through decades and is essential for our future. To point out to some of the advantages, they mention the outstanding effects of genetic engineering in the field of medication, there are lots of drugs that are made using this method that results in improvement of life expectancy. Also, with the growth of the world’s population, the demand for more food with essential nutritious has increased. The altered food with needed genes has helped the societies to survive trough the history. I am all for this point of view and believe we need genetic engineering to continue our lives and improve it.
In conclusion, despite of the arguments against the genetic modification, I think the advantages of this method is more than the disadvantages and it is a vital thing for our lives.
