Nowadays, the world became more competitive than before and the youngsters always try to cope with the developing society, the teenagers. It is often analyzed that, the younger generation wants to live an independent life which involves living on their own or along with their friends by leaving their parents behind after high school graduation. I firmly believe that this is a sign of positive development. First of all, the nineteen or twenty year olds after leaving home, are at least bound to learn some simple yet important daily household chores like cooking, washing, and cleaning that help them develop a sense of maturity. Another reason is that in order to meet their living expenses, they have to do either full-time or part-time jobs. Thus, their time and budget management skills can be highly enhanced. For instance, only people who start doing a job on their own can learn to manage their income, how to carry out the expenses, and even learn a crucial lesson on money saving. Although the youngsters who have just left their parents’ comfortable homes and have stepped out into the real world for the first time can face some challenges at first, it will only make them stronger and will help them fight better and harder. These valuable experiences will cultivate their self-confidence to become more responsible citizens. On the other hand, this can also reduce the burden on the parents as they don’t have to always financially support their children. Apart from this, the negative aspects of this trend should not be ignored. Being independent and living alone for the first time can stress them and make them feel isolated and homesick. But they are all necessary steps in every individual’s life that they have to take in order to mold their life and be successful. To conclude, this motion has both positive and negative impacts on one’s life. If we can cope with this situation wisely, this will surely help us to grow in a more sensible way. Thus, in my opinion, parents should allow their children to live away from home when they finish school.
