Giving lectures in auditoriums to large numbers of students is an old way of teaching. With the technology available today there is no justification for it, and everything should be done online. Do you agree?

With the boom of technology, offering online education is an alternative method to replace traditional education. While there is no denying the benefits of studying online, I believe that conventional classrooms cannot be superseded. There is no doubt about the benefit of having an online learning platform. To commence with, the cited purpose of virtual learning is that it serves as a repository of knowledge unrestricted by any geographical barriers. Given that it saves time and money for moving and transportation. Additionally, online classes help students everywhere to study, even in remote areas, or some places that are in a quarantine. For example, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many pupils are unable to physically set foot on a campus and online learning platforms help them continue assimilating knowledge. However, I advocate towards that traditional education will perpetuate its own value. The first compelling rationale determinant is that schools are supplied with equipment and tools, which help students absorb their concepts of the lessons being delivered by teachers / lecturers better. For instance, when pupils learn chemistry or physics with the help of laboratories, they get a better grasp of the domains as the theory in the textbook transfers to real phenomena right in front of their eyes. Furthermore, teachers will deliver more effective lessons in brick and mortar classrooms. Studying in an in-person classroom will help teachers have more motivation and concentration. In other words, there will be no interrupt due to internet connection. In conclusion, while e-learning has been proven to be beneficial, I would contend that it can dispense with the conventional classroom due to a wide range of obstacles. I suggest that it is more effective if the virtual classroom is one of the temporary solutions in this pandemic.
