Although I concede that genetically modified products, such as fruits and animals, may lead to hazardous drawbacks, I would argue that it's advents made shift worldwide progress on the completely various level. Admittedly, there are several reasons why society is afraid of genetic engineering. To begin with, genetically modified products may cause unexpected diseases among the new consumers, thus, it may be preferable to banish it. Secondly, artificial crops may destruct natural balance, which has already suffered from human exploitation. For instance, new resilient plants may cause extinction of insects, and consequently of other species, which play an essential role in cycle of life. For all that reasons genetic engineering probably should be prohibited from critics point of view. However, those arguments can be easily countered. Firstly, all experiments more likely to be conducted by world's top-notch specialists, thus may be authentic. Secondly, genetic engineering's advances may hugely contribute to the development of science in general. In addition, genetically modified products might be more nutritious and affordable, therefore life expectancy of people as well as cost of living may rise significantly. All that shows that humanity could potentially benefit from genetical engineering. In conclusion, although genetically engineering may be reason for the living things' disappearance, I firmly believe that it's following benefits for human race outweigh the previous possible side effects.
