Undeniably, the produced food takes a long way to be delivered to its customers. Some people claim that it would be advantageous to eat local food without harming our natural habitat and economic stability. However, i would not be agreed with this notion any more because it helps to develop international trade and obtain a wide range of products.
The main diadvantage of this development is that the process of shipping can greatly pollute environment by releasing greenhouse gases along the road. That in turn leads to the depletion of ozone layer. Moreover, it requires exorbitant amount of money to purchase those products, which is because they are made in foreign regions and have to cover the cost of transportation as well. For example, the price of chocolate made in Moscow is far higher than that of produced locally.
Conversely, there are a number of benefits of food movement across countries. Firstly, it assists in developing international trade among countries. This results from the frequent exchange of commodities, allowing farmers and cookers to fulfil their requirements. Furthermore, people get a chance to maintain their fitness level by consuming overseas products. It can not be done with the help of local made products as they contain specific soil requirements. For instance, bananas that are mostly produced by Ecuador exported to thousands of countries as their climate is not appropriate for growing them.
In conclusion, i do not agree that residents should eat only locally made products.
