My name is Sirada Sessakdasiri and I would like to express my interest in applying for WIPO International Patent Drafting Training Program. I graduated mechanical engineering and have been working in IP field for more than 6 years. Most of my experiences are related to national applications and now I would like to enhance more knowledge and skills in drafting international patent applications. I believe that there is no better place to provide me a variety of opportunities to develop my patent drafting skill than WIPO. I have learned IP knowledge from my wonderful colleges, my responsible projects, and real situations. Although I have experience in analyzing and drafting patent applications in Thailand, it is crucial to develop my drafting skill for international patent applications now. I do realize that my job is one of the most important positions in the company, and it is my responsibility to ensure that every application I prepare and every decision I make is appropriate for our inventions so that they can be protected. As WIPO is the main international organization for global IP services, this is a great chance for me to learn more techniques and methodologies from experts in several fields in order to draft an effective patent application. Furthermore, this course will lead me to meet new people in the IP field from all over the world. Hence, this would be a great place to exchange opinions as well as learn new cultures. With my enthusiasm, I started this career when I had no experience and I am now a senior IP officer at a well-known company. My goal this year is to leverage myself to the higher step in this career by enhancing my drafting abilities. Finally, I hope to be given this chance, as I believe that I am qualified for this course and I have full intention of learning.
