Effect Of Tourism In Countries

In today’s world tourism has gone up in last 5 decades and this caused discussions related to a certain subject. Many people argued that this increase has drawbacks on native people and the place around while the others considered this has beneficial effects on the countries financial issues. In this essay, I will explore both sides and also give my opinion on this subject. It is widely accepted that tourism causes lots of difficulties for local inhabitants and the environment. It causes traffic in the places tourists like to visit furthermore, air pollution and noise in the cities are rising. For instance, a picturesque village in the south of Turkey called Kaş has the most famous beaches in the country on the contrary it is almost impossible to walk in the streets and find somewhere to eat dinner because of the crowded. However, others claim to an increase in tourism is beneficial for the economy and I agree with this idea. Tourism has plenty of merits. Firstly, tourists bring money when they come to visit a country and they buy souvenirs for their friends and family, they stay at the hotels and unemployed people can work in that hotels. Moreover, it decreases the job vacancies and creates new professional opportunities for local people. For example, they can sell crafts, local cuisines foods, or such things in the bazaar. To summarize, it is impossible to deny tourism has some negative impacts nevertheless, it facilitates local people’s life and has a multitude of pros to the countries economy.
