Globalization and rapidly developing technology have provided a strong base to adopt modernization. As all other changes, this change also comes with its benefits and drawbacks. In my opinion, modernization has reduced our standard of health significantly. However, the government can take precautionary steps to prevent the effect. This essay is intended to discuss the effect of modernism on our health and will also suggest few solutions to mitigate the effect. By analyzing the effects, people have moved from outdoor activities to indoor activities. Growing technology has provided access to all the activities on their fingertips. Rather than doing the actual activity, people more preferred to perform that activity on their device. For instance, children are preferring games on mobile over going into parks. Consequently, they are not getting enough physical exercise to grow their physical strength. Furthermore, the modern food has also affected the health considerably. Instead of healthy food people are more inclined towards the fast-food, which contains more fat and less vitamins. In long term, these food habits will bring more disease and reduce the average human life. However, the government can play a vital role to solve the issue. The government can spread awareness in the public about the importance of health. They can host seminars and camps for the exercise. Moreover, in the modern world, each age groups have few targeted ideals whom they are following. Government can use them to promote good practice to maintain the health standard. People will more likely to follow the advice provided by their ideals. To conclude, although modernization has provided numerous benefits in many domains, it has negatively affected our health. Moreover, health is considered as our primary concern and at any cost we cannot afford degradation in our health standard. However, combined effort from government and people can easily solve the issue created by the modernization.
