In this 21st century, youngsters in most nations disregard their elders more than younger ones of old. This is a major issue but first of all we need to understand that poor parental upbringing is one of the reasons for this. There are some several steps which can be taken to tackle this problem which I will examine further in this essay. Firstly, poor parental upbringing is one of the key factors in most homes causing wards not to have regard for their seniors. Some kids grow up without the core morals and values being inculcated in them during their formative age by their parents. In the same way guardians are not always at home to really provide the needed basic home training for their wards to grow into a more reasonable adulthood. Like wise they leave their responsibility to house helps to rather do their work due to tight schedule at work. Hence this youngsters will turn out not having the necessary morals. For instance, a recent report from one of the known university reveal that over 90% of bad behaviours exhibited by young ones are due to neglect on the part of parents not teaching their wards core values. Nevertheless, good upbringing of kids by caretakers is one of the main things that should be done in a every family irrespective of their engagement. Also parents should dedicate time for raising children and impacting social norms because socialization starts from home and it is solely the work of the caretakers to make sure that these values are embedded in them during their early stage of life. For example in my tribe, children are taught how to honour their elders either by prostrating to greet the person and this has made everyone to be conscious of showing respect to their seniors. In conclusion, parents should take up the task of giving their wards good upbringing right from the beginning of life in order to incur good morals in them.
