In my opinion, it is somewhat acceptable that people faces can be used to create new contents, but only in a proper way and in consent of that people.
An article in Screenrant stated that since deepfake technology use a massive amount of data and footage to recreate a person's image, filmmakers can use it to change the line without having the actor refilming again. This method could've been used on Justice League's reshoots to avoid Henry Cavill's CGI lip. Further more, this technology could advance to the point where movies could replace actors with other stars.
On the other hand, deepfake can be a real threat. It's totally dangerous if people trust deepfake video without knowing it's not the authentic one. Especially when it comes to famous people like the president, misinformation could be spread worldwide and become fakenews. The misunderstanding used to happen to the president Biden taking about 6 January riots, as written in BBC news.
In conclusion, deepfake have both benefits and drawbacks. People shoud check sources of the clip as well as the strangeness to make sure that the information is correct.
