Criticizing is not teaching.

Criticizing is not teaching. agN8Y
I don't think that it is my fault as a student, just wanting to ask any question, trying to tell another idea, or even making a mistake in the class. Looking at the student's side, I have the right to do it. As a teacher, I can't imagine that he can scold or yell at me and seem like he wants to kick me out of class in front of other students. Such a terrible experience! I was just speechless at that time. Moreover, at this time I won't mention whether the lesson that has been taught in my class is right or wrong. Yeah, I corrected the mistakes of the teacher directly, but that is not my purpose for coming here, please! I just want to make sure that what we was learning is right, and I always accept that no one is perfect. On the other hand, I totally believe that an educator who has the confidence in knowing will never react forcefully like that to students, when the student simply would like to figure out other perspectives. In addition, as real teachers with good educational training, we are willing to listen, write down, analyze, discuss, and explain the problem to students instead of ignoring the mistakes and suddenly scolding them forcefully. Of course, I will take more research about these behaviors of the teacher from another side. Alright! Everyone can make mistakes and do silly things, including me, and you know what the stupid thing that I did? It is to pay the money and receive a class, which is called learning with a Native Teacher like that. I know this sentence is so strong when you read, I was about to delete it but I just want to describe the true feeling at that day. So I keep it here! However, to look at the thing in the possitive way, I think everything has a price. This situation has taught me a lot since then. First of all, I only wish I would never ever make the same mistake like this with my students because I understand the feeling as a student and how terrible it is. Secondly, I learned how to control my emotions while the teacher was yelling at me. Luckily, I didn't lose my temper at that moment. After a few days, I had calmed down and seriously considered this case. It is an excellent opportunity for me to write it down as a source of example for my educational journey. It is a case in education that I have personally experienced as a student. Before that, I always looked at things from the side of a teacher. Now is a good chance to put myself in my student’s shoes and learn to look at a problem from multiple perspectives. . . . . .
