Children in many countries are engaged in paid jobs. Many regard it as a harmful trend while others consider it as a valuable work experience, important for learning and taking responsibilities

The advantages and disadvantages of allowing children to paid work have always been a subject of debate in significant part of the world. Some people think that this is type of practice is not best for overall development of children life. While other are in the favor of this as it provides opportunities to gain knowledge and experiences. This essay will cast light on both notions and state writer’s opinions on it. To start with, young age is the age of learning. We have to provide proper education rather than involving them in work. Firstly, Forcing child in a paid job is considered child crime in many parts of the world. In this contemporary era, many organizations such as save the children and United Nation are working for the welfare for the children. Moreover, they are not physically fit to work in their early phase of life. Using them as money earning medium might create many psychological disorders and health issues in upcoming days. On the other hand, another group of community believe that children should be encouraged to earn money. To some extent, Children can get experience and they can be able to learn about roles and responsibilities. Adding further, siblings will get chance to get knowledge on struggle. They learn to be independent from their parents and fulfill their needs by themselves. Similarly, they can contribute to their parents from financial point of view. For example, if a secondary level student starts working and saving money then he or she will surely pay school fee on own salary. As a result, the amount of economic pressure of parents on educating their children may reduce significantly. To sum up, both above mentioned approaches have their own merits and demerits. As far as I am concerned, I strong argue that Children should be given freedom to work for the betterment of their future because enabling them to do some sorts of paid job may help them to be independent from their parents from various aspects of life.
