The diagram illustrates the proportion of people in the United Kingdom who prefered four different kinds of housing in three separate cities namely Liverpool, London and Manchester in 2009. Overall, the share of apartment preference was dominant in both three cities, while that of terraced hosuse’s preference was the lowest in both Liverpool, London and Manchester. In Liverpool, the figure of people liking apartments was the highest figure in both 3 cities, at approximately 60%. At the same time, the percentage of London’s dwellers who prefered semi-detached houses is higher than three other categories. The share of semi-detached preference in Manchester followed a similar trend, at around 38%. In contrast, the lowest percentages of terraced house’s housing preference was recorded in both London, Liverpool and Manchester, at 20%, 9% and 11%, respectively. In terms of detached houses, the share of people who like it is second lowest in both Liverpool and London, while the percentage of liking of this is second highest, at nearly 35%.
