Everyone has a secret at some point in their lives and most of us will be told a secret and asked to keep it quiet. As society allegedly becomes more 'confessional', are we far too willing to talk about matters that should be kept hidden? Are we losing the ability to keep secrets? When is it appropriate to divulge a secret and how should it be done? Are there types of secret that should never be revealed? These questions have crossed my mind many times. My weak point was always related to spilling the beans. I did intend to keep schtum but due to my certain character traits I wasn't able to do that. I could be devastated after realizing the fact that I had just let the cat out of the bag. Some of my acquaintances are used to keeping themselves to themselves. They don't share their private life with anyone. Family is their closest confidant. It's essential to be careful with your secrets. Once someone lets it slip it сan be complicated to regain the trust.
