All aforementioned reasons led me to study Civil Engineering-Water major for my bachelor degree. However, during my studies at university and final internship in a perfect company, I noticed my passion for one extremely special construction material: Reinforced Concrete. It was amazing to me to see how different materials like steel, cement, water, sand, and gravel all are working together in order to withstand different loads in different members of reinforced concrete structures in different environments, these neat processes and functions in reinforced concrete field were calming my mind. As a result, in order to pursue my interest in reinforced concrete, I studied Civil Engineering-Structural Engineering at MS degree. For my final thesis I researched about reinforcement patterns effect around openings of reinforced concrete deep beams. In order to do this research I had to learn some analyzing methods like Strut and tie (ACI 318 2014 CODE/ chapter 23), and some software. Actually, Vector finite element software proposed for me by my supervisor (Dr. Jamshid Sabouri, Islamic Azad University Tabriz Branch) to analysis my models. This software was completely unknown in my country, and it made it hard for me to create and analysis models in this program, but it was hugely beneficial for me because I was by myself, and I had to study much more than other students. To do this I had to contact with University of Toronto (developers of this program), and study papers of Professor Frank J. Vecchio (Vector Software’s theories and function are based on Professor Frank J. Vecchio’s investigations). (I am sure that I will be able to use any new software that will be practical in water resources management program (AQUACROP, EToCalc, GreenRoof, … )). All of my efforts and hard work taught me how to be a researcher and find and create worthy questions and how to try to find proper answer for them. Thus, doing my second project (Strengthening reinforced concrete beams with Fiber Reinforced Polymers) was easier for me.
