1. The role of education is to prepare children for the modern world. Schools should cut art and music out of the curriculum so that children can focus on useful subjects such as information technology. To what extend do you agree?

In recent time, the number of discussions about education has increased. While some people consider that art and music have crucial influence of children’s personality, others argue that art and music are useless for children’s future and that children should not learn them at school. I strongly believe that music and art must be a part of syllabus. To begin with, art and music are the best tools to express children’s creativity and imagination. Painting and singing help children to express their emotions, understand their own personality, relax, and enjoy while they create something new. Thanks to arts, children form their character and improve their behavior. Art has a great influence on their development and future. Moreover, many children would like their future professions be painters, musicians, singers or music teacher. Regardless, we live in modern world where an expansion of advanced technologies is huge, a lot of children are not interested in computer science, math, or medicine. The profession of a software engineer brings very good profit. Because of that, people consider that it is more useful to study computer science than art. However, there are more and more children who choose to do something that really love and feel in their future. It very important that art and music be in curriculum, because thanks to these subjects, children choose his/her main occupation in the future. These lessons introduce children in the world of art and children get theorical and practical knowledges about art, which motivate children to choose the profession in the future. To sum up, in my opinion, art and music are traditional subjects which have the best influence on children’s brain, and they mustn’t be removed from curriculum.
