The picture illustrates the water treatment process. in general the process of water treatment is complex and experiences a wide range of step. specifically there are 6 main stages in this process. starting with untreated water passing through intake screens and finishing with suppling water for all users
The entire process commences with intake screen where the water goes through. The water is fed into the pumps and then it is flash mixed with substances like polyaluminum chloride oxidants. After that it is treated with flocculation to remove solids. following that the water is put into the settling basin before it is chlorinated
At the next step the water is sent to the filter membrane where unwanted substances are filtered and trapped. Subsequently the water is disinfected with chlorine, lime or ( sodium hydroxide, fluoride and then it is pass through into the pump. finally water follows out of a tap that serves human needs
