Children today spend too much time playing on screens and not enough time doing physical activity. We need to get rid of children's devices to avoid severe strain on our health system in the future. To what extent do you agree with this statement?

Nowadays, children are hardly indulging in any physical activities because their time is wasted playing games on electronic gadgets. Hence, it is argued that digital devices must be kept away from them so that – in the future - extreme pressure on healthcare systems is prevented. In my opinion, I completely agree with the aforementioned statement as long exposure to screens negatively impacts the physical and mental well-being of children.
Since children’s faces have become inseparable from their electrical devices, the quality of their health has declined. Most of their day is now dedicated to watching screens and playing video games; as a result, an insignificant, minute amount of their time remains and is often insufficient for exercising. If children are continually neglecting moving their bodies, myriad health-related issues, such as joint and muscle pain will arise. For instance, numerous parents reported that they have noticed severe deterioration in eyesight as well as an enormous, unhealthy increase in their offspring’s weight after purchasing an iPad for them.
Not only will the physical well-being of children be affected, but also their psychological health. Depending on the nature of the applications they decide to install and engage in, children’s behavior and personality might be poorly influenced. For example, a 7-year-old child who constantly participated in games which revolve around killing and slaughtering other players to succeed was seen to be developing uncontrollable, anger issues in addition to unacceptable, aggressive actions. Furthermore, surrounding individuals stated that his creativity and brain power, which were once remarkable, have utterly vanished and are no longer strengths, but rather weaknesses.
In conclusion, I believe that digital gadgets ought not to be given to children otherwise they will suffer health-wise both mentally and physically.
