Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks
Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks VM6B7
Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks, a subclass of metal-organic frameworks, are porous crystalline hybrid materials consisting of imidazolate ligands bridging metal ions. In this work, cadmium imidazolate frameworks were synthesized by a solvothermal reaction of cadmium acetate and 2-methylimidazole in ethanol/methanol mixture. The Cd(Im)2 prepared at 150oC after 8 hours with the mixture of solvents has high crystal. The absence of the expected absorption band at 407. 73 cm-1, which is probably due to the formation of the weak band observed in the < 500 cm-1 range can be attributed to ν (Cd-N). Cadmium imidazolate only formats zeolite crystal, the fibers of the network were strong, and the pores are even. The sizes of pores are approximately 200 nm. The XRD diagram shows that the Cd(Im)2 has high crystal. The Cd(Im)2 phase is evident from reflections at 7o, 10o, 12o, 14o, 15, 6o and 17o. The surface area of Cd(Im)2 was 662. 894 m2/g or 858. 389 m²/g with BET or Langmuir calculations, respectively.
