In the long term, this can have an adverse bearing not only on young people but on society as a whole. Firstly, following the latest fashion trends on social media platforms may put the young on the verge of bankruptcy if they lose control of their spending. Consequently, they have struggled with difficulties in emergency situations because of their tight budgets. On a social level, local businesses and economies will be more vulnerable and negatively affected when the sales of their affordable products reduce dramatically. This is because flocks of people attempt to purchase exorbitant products. As a result, many companies may go bankrupt and the unemployment rate increases. For this reason, I believe that this is a negative development.
