When a country develops its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to try and keep them alive. To what extent do you agree or disagree with them.

There is an opinion saying that if a nation has progressed in terms of technology, its cultural values and traditions eventually become vanish, also, making efforts to save them is pointless. I believe that technological advancements are surely killing the traditional lifestyle. However, I disagree that it is pointless to save the ancient traditions. On the one hand, it is beyond doubt that the growth of technology has a profound impact on our traditional skills and lifestyle. That is, development in technology is keeping us away from our culture. Therefore, the traditional lifestyle is totally replaced by the modern and luxurious lifestyle. As an example, people nowadays spend less time in cultural gatherings and do not like to participate in traditional festivals due to their modern lifestyle, or in some countries, many individuals prefer to wear new western clothes instead of traditional clothes. Thus, over time, the traditional lifestyle will disappear. On the other hand, although making efforts to save the cultural ways and traditions is tough but it is not pointless. Simply put, such efforts make the younger generation familiar with the culture of their ancestors and encourage them to see and explore their own culture. For example, the authorities of a country can effort to save the cultural values and traditions by holding festivals that are rooted in their culture, as a result, the younger generation can get to know them. In conclusion, I believe that, although growing technology is replacing the traditional lifestyle, we should not stop trying and saving our cultural values.
