English is now the third most commonly spoken language with an estimate of 2 billions people using it on a regular basis. Although this language has become extremely popular, learning English cannot be as simple as many people think, especially writing skills. Writing skills have a high requirement in terms of vocabularies and sentence construction. We have to flexibly use exact words suitable for contexts, so as to express the nuance of our ideas. Since English has dozens of synonyms and antonyms with different uses of each one, it may be one of the hardest parts limiting the paper quality. Along with vocabulary, should the sentences be smooth in order for readers to easily grasp the flow, which plays such an important role in creating a good essay. Thus, one effective way is to improve our vocabulary as well as our own writing style by reading books and practicing writing every day. Our writings had better be rigorously argued and in a way that is concise. To make the writing pervasive, we need to give prosperity arguments and evidence which are closely related to the issue under discussion for the purpose of supporting our opinions. Additionally, it is absolutely necessary to put them in a logical order, so that they can complement each other, instead of being discrete and causing confusion to the readers. Hence, we should practise critical thinking as well as build up more understanding of the outside world to gain deeper insights of the problems. Writing skills are truly difficult for learners due to their high requirements. However, we can improve it as long as we put in enough effort.
