We live in a contemporary world, where everyone can express ideas by various means such as motion-pictures, music, photos and literature. However, sometimes these thoughts have discriminatory and politically orientated views. To my beliefs, such grim and terrifying ought to be restricted by law.
First and foremost, art is the expression of human imagination and creativity and only a free mind can explore its vast horizons. Art allows us to express and feel different emotions through unconventional ways. A common example could be a household possession such as a picture. A simple photo or drawing can express complex sensations and stir up our emotions. Another prime example of art is music. The various combinations of sounds and rhythms reveal contrasting feelings, some are cold and depressed, while others are warm and cozy. Furthermore, TV shows and films play a crucial role in our daily lives by helping us ease our mind. Thus, we relax and indulge in a magical world where imagination and creativity rule.
Having said that, art also has a dreadful side. The topics of racism, terrorism, religion and politics are widely encountered in movies, music and television. Such content can give misleading information and cause misunderstandings and inconvenient situations. For instance, the current Russian government is spreading misinformation about the ongoing war with Ukraine through radio and tv, in order to misguide the Russian population. Furthermore, some artists abuse their freedom and prompt people to commit acts of violence, rebellions and protests, by releasing politically orientated content. For these reasons, governments should introduce laws, forbidding the spread of such vile art.
Taking everything into account, I would conclude that government should not interfere with artists creativity and shall only take action when creators are spreading misinformation and are disturbing the peace.
