Traditional medicine, such as acupuncture and herbal remedies, is very popular in some countries. Those who practise traditional medicine claim it is better than modern medicine in maintaining and improving health. with this viewpoint? 0m2P9
Over the years, ancient medicines are still existing because of the people's attitudes towards its impact. Some argue that it is better than western medical treatments in terms of improvement and maintenance of health. In my opinion, I partially agree with them which is going to explain in this essay. First of all, undeniably, traditional medicines are extremely effective in developing the well-being of the people. It uses plant-based compounds to treat people which have minor side effects. For an instance, the majority refuse tablets and capsules to reduce the cholesterol level in their bloodstream, because of the extreme side effects. Similarly, the medicines used in diabetes negatively impact the liver. As a consequence, patients need to examine their liver annually for any damages. Hence, ancestors have used natural remedies for illness which is less harmful to the body. Additionally, these medications help to maintain the body and mind well, even though they intake it in long term. However, in some instances, these healing methods are ineffective. For example, it takes a long period to cure cough and fever, if people depend on natural medicines. In this case, western medicines have the ability to eliminate it quickly. It is also popular that fractures and bone damages can detect and heal with the modern technology that is used in hospitals. They use X-rays and scenes to identify the failures with bones and provide necessary treatments for the exact place. The traditional way of healing is lacking with research and development, therefore the results are visible I slow rates. Nevertheless, the effectiveness is always not visible. In conclusion, some people rely on natural healing techniques while considering the positive impact on maintaining and improving health, which is unable to expect from modern medicines. It is true that traditional remedies have fewer side effects and a low impact on health compared to artificial compounds, that doctors use today. However, if they use modern medicine the results are obvious within a short time period compared to traditional ones. All in all, I believe, herbal treatments are effective in some circumstances that can not be applied for all incidents. As result, we are unable to conclude that the which medical treatments are the most suitable.
