Hence, the surface web may be considered a safe place on the internet, but it is best to be cautious about giving personal information to websites. The deep web is the second most used internet layer, called “Invisible”, which holds significant amounts of data. The deep web is considered a library for extensive databases and private documents, such as government-private resources, and accessing the deep web is not as easy as it seems. It is not possible to access it with a regular search engine and requires a particular engine such as Tor (a search engine that mainly uses the dark web and deep web). It is a fact that the deep web holds 90% percent of the whole internet, which is described as part of an iceberg under the ocean, considered more enormous than the surface web (Kaspersky, 2021). Therefore, most websites that require a password and username and paid subscription to access are part of the deep web, and Netflix and Amazon Prime can be excellent examples.
