Medical science has advanced in my ways since last few years. we have discovered treatments and drugs for the disorders which were totally incurable since so many decades. this progress in medical science has also led to discovery of the drugs we were unaware of and which were present in our environment. one such drug is tobacco. recent studies has shown that tobacco is one of the most popular drugs among the people of almost all age groups. in countries like Canada, tobacco consumption is legalized, making it easily available to its consumers. but apart from its stress relieving benefit tobacco consumption is also associated with many health related problems and addiction as well which makes it totally unhealthy for a human body. people consuming tobacco on daily basis are on very high risk of developing health conditions like throat and tongue cancer, lung cancer etc. , . chemicals found in tobacco cause unwanted multiplication of cells in the lining of our respiratory system leading to symptoms like breathlessness, heavy voice, chronic cough, and inability to swallow food. recent studies shows that lack of proper knowledge and easy availability of tobacco in many parts of the world have led to higher death rates due to lung and throat cancer. For example. , according to statistics, highest cause of deaths in Canada is lung cancer occurring due to tobacco smoking. due to lots of competition and anxiety associated with it, people take drugs like tobacco to relieve work and personal life related stress and anxiety. these people get so much used to tobacco consumption that they hardly find any interest in life out of tobacco. this tobacco addiction also leads to loss of their personal relations and finances. for example. , a friend of mine is so much addicted to tobacco consumption that she is hardly left with any savings for her personal development and quality life. It is the easy availability of the drugs like tobacco that people especially the youngsters are putting their lives and future at risk. youngsters should be provided with proper education of benefits and side effects of these drugs. Apart from the education, concerned authorities and government should make rules so that these drugs are being sold to legal age groups in proper legalized amounts.
