There are pros and cons whether or not reading current events from newspapers is an ideal method. Some people think because these printed reading materials provide reliable data. However, in my opinion, it is recommended for people to use devices to access a variety of information through the world wide web. It can be said that utilizing new media forms is not an option but a necessity in this digital age.
On the one hand, it is true that newspapers are proven to include accurate details. Even though there are other factors for it, nothing is more fundamental than well-supported facts which are mainly published in the paper. According to Dr. Kim, one hte renowned professors at Chungnam University in Korea, over 95. 2% of the printed news companies’ articles was based on comprehensive research and respectable resources as guided by their strict rules. It shows how much effort is placed on data gathering.
On the other hand, other media supported by the internet allow people to access huge amount of information at a short period of time. Despite some inconsistencies and lack of ownership, people opt to keep up with the trending issues online using their computers or smartphones since they come in handy. Let’s take ‘ Happy Together, a media company run by the residents in Daejeon and the one providing the latest local events through a mobile phone application as an example. This app notifies the citizens of the updates especially concerning their city. Therefore, it goes without saying that digital devices play a significant role in this field.
In conclusion, using high-tech electric devices offers people news reports much easily than the traditional newspaper.
