The use of mobile phones in public places is as antisocial as smoking. Smoking is banned in certain places, so mobile phones should be banned in the same way. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

People have made gazettes as a basic necessity in this contemporary era. Some believe that use of mobile phones must be prohibited like smoking and consider it as antisocial. I strongly disagree with this statement as its demerits dwarf the merits.
To begin with, firstly, in public places folks used to visit with their family members or friends. In spite spending time with them and enjoy the surroundings, they keep on using cell phones. To explain, they keep on clicking pictures, uploading them on social media and forget to live in the moment. Moreover, these days people are more inclined towards the virtual world instead of spending time with the one who are with them.
On the other hand, cellular phones have a plethora of benefits. Primarily, it is helpful for the safety purpose. To elaborate, at crowded destinations, one can make use of phones for calling or messaging purpose in case of urgencies and if they have misplaced some belongings. Secondarily, mobile phones can be used while making payments. To explicate, people go for outings to enjoy, to make purchases so one can always pay through mobile applications if they are running out of cash. For instance, a survey conducted by The Oxford University in one of the markets and it showed that 40% of the shopkeepers were accepting e-payments rather than cash or cards.
To recapitulate, from the above discourse, it is construed that although mobile phones have disadvantages however its advantages have more significance and phones should not be considered as antisocial. Thus, I strongly agree with the statement.
