The US film industry has too much influence on the film industry around the world. Governments have a duty to invest money in their own film industries to protect and develop their cultures. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

In today's world, hollywood movies have set themselves at the highest standard on global scale. I personally believe, that leaders of different nations should financially support their own movies, safeguarding and promoting their own traditions.
From the outset, it is clear that every flim industry around the continents, try to mimic the movies produced by US. An example can be taken from the marvel movies which have set a standard for the science fiction genre. Afterwards, it resulted in every filming company dedicated to make their quality of flims as good as those made by marvel. Thus, it resulted in copied scenes, advanced graphics and loss of the normal story-telling abilities in the common market. The Ramayana, an epic story adored by the inhabitants of India were outraged when its flim depected their characters similar to the movie "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". Similarly, the hollywood cinema have had a negative impact on local flim industries around the world, as theaters were dominated by these artistic flims and not much financial revenue were generated by the local arts. The status of multiplex cinema of Nepal is an example showcasing these exact conditions, although, majority of collywood movies (flim industry of Nepal) are based on the real life events of Nepal they are not being favored by local population which have lead to ultimate demise of the movie industry. The governments policy is also to blame for such events.
In contrast, there are some countries whose leadership are taking effective actions to promote their own flim culture and traditions. China, the worlds biggest movie market has restricted the number of international flims shown in its theater. It has a limited quota of holywood movies that can be shown in the big screen. Thereafter, the local movie bussiness have flourihed over the years, giving importance to ancient history, art and culture of the nation. Additionally, the Chinense use sensorship in English movies which showcase unethical cultures, limiting their negative influence over the commoners.
In conclusion, if the government of a nation is ready to take risks, they can safeguard their own filming cultures and reduce the impact of hollywood movies on their communities. Limiting the quota of English movies and investments on promoting own culture is very important. If necessary steps are not taken, there might not be any local producers, willing to produce movies related to the nation at all.
