The three pie charts illustrate information about annual spending of the Indian rail industry in five different aspects in three years 1992, 2002, and 2012. Overall, it is clear from the charts that, fuel consumes most of the funds from Indian rail industry in all three years; while the industry speand least on equipment and rentals in last two years but it required major spending in initial year 1992. To begin with, in 1992, Indian rail industry expended it's most of funds on fuel (28%) leaving behind wages and employee benefits at 26% and taxes at 20%. Modernization consumed least money compare to all other factors. Furthermore, total expenditure on modernization and equipment and rentals was equal to the wages and employee benefits expenditure. In addition, fuel and wages and employee benefits was major expenditure of money from Indian rail industry in 2002(38% and 30% respectively), while equipment and modernization was cost very insignificant. In this year, amount of money spend on taxes was recorded as 22 percentage. On the other hand, in the year 2012, modernization was cost of 20% which was slightly higher than money payouts to taxes (18%). On fuel and wages and employee benefits was equally contribute to expenditure of money by Indian rail industry at 29%, however the sum of money consumed by equipment and rentals was very trivial.
