Overall, it can be seen that single women with no dependent children gained the biggest proportion than other types of family composition, whereas the poverty rate by sex and age on women remained higher than men during the given period. To begin with, the percentage of women in poverty obtained the most by single women with no dependent children at 54% in 2008. The second position was acquired by single women with dependent children at 26%, which was approximately a half as compared to single women with no dependent children. Following this were married women with dependent children and married women with no dependent children, which were accounted for 12% and 8%, respectively. In terms of gender, the data shows that the proportions on any age of poverty on women were higher than men in 2008.
