The diagram illustrates how Somecountry’s citizens spent their money on bonds and stocks from 2001 to 2006. Overall, it is remarkable that there had been increasing trends for both bonds and stocks investments throughout the 6-year period, whereas more investments were contributed to stocks. To commence, for the first 3 years, starting with 210 billions investment in 2001, the figure was almost double than that in bonds, yet the gap had been narrowed marginally in the following 2 years when merely a slight rise of 17 billions could be seen in stocks investment by 2003. In contrast, bonds received a significant increase of 57 billions by 2003. Nonetheless, since 2003, the investment growth in bonds slowed down. Experiencing a gentle rise of only 5 billions from 2003 to 2004, it climbed consistently and reached the peak at 188 billions by 2006. Nevertheless, stocks investments had witnessed a dramatical surge from 227 billions in 2003 to 289 billions after one year, followed by a steady increase before peaked at 311 billions in 2006.
