The diagram demonstrates a procedure called “lithography”, a process for printing newspapers. After image is conducted onto a press plate, it passes through several rollers before it is completely printed onto paper.
First, the plate is gone through damping rollers, which equip combination of water and chemicals. This is dampened the non-image sectors. Secondly, the plate passes through a set of link rollers, in order to hold to the image part. Thirdly, the plate goes through blanker cylinder. This is squeezed out the water and the linked image area is lifted. Finally, the plate passes through the print cylinder. Then the paper operates between the stamp cylinder and blanket cylinder, to press the image onto the paper. After that, the paper is dried with hot and cold air and cover with the delivery pile.
Therefore, the diagram illustrates that the there are four sets of rollers used, before the picture is shifted onto paper.
