Many people say the gap between rich and poor people is wider, as rich people become richer and poor people grow poorer.What problems could this situation cause and measures can be done to address those problems?

Furthermore, since the rich become richer and the poor become poorer, there will be more and more people cannot make ends meet, or even do not have a job. If the number of unemployed workers increases, there would be more crime cases as these people have to break the law just to make a living. There are several initiatives to reduce economic inequality, including progressives taxation and increase in job opportunities. Higher taxes should be levied on the rich, which could reduce the amount of income inequality in society. Then the fax received from the rich can be used to supply free goods and services for the needy who struggle to make a living. For instance, in Vietnam, the gap between the rich and poor has greatly been narrowed thanks to their free education policy for primary. Providing more jobs and free social services to decrease the unemployment rate is one of the emphasis solutions to limit the gap wider. In conclusion, even though wealth inequality can cause a whole host of issues, there are still many practical solutions. By providing free education and changing tax policies, governments can create a fairer society.
