Have you ever been in a maze, especially if it is full of risks? Among the novels I have read so far, the Maze Runners by James Dashner has to be the most appealing book I’ve had the pleasure of reading with a special place in my life. It is a young adult dystopian science fiction novel and it was set in 21st century America. The main protagonists of the story are Thomas and Teresa. To begin with, it takes place in a very mysterious situation called the “Glade” which is located in the center of a huge maze made of stone, and every night the walls close around the Glade so the stone walls can slide around to create a brand-new maze, most of the action occurs out in the maze at night when the Grievers come out, in addition, the Grievers are half machine and half animal and will kill any person they find in the maze at night with no mercy. In my eyes, after reading the sequence of events, what I liked most about the dreadful story was that they always fought for the good and they worked together, in harmony, and when one of them try a huge task alone he probably won’t be able to do it, however together they can do anything. On the other hand, What I disliked about the novel was many characters and even Thomas’s friends died in the process of completing their missions. To conclude, I highly recommend this book, the reason being it has a lot of battle scenes written on the plot and it will keep you grabbed at the edge of your seat. Due to this scarce novel being a remarkable masterpiece that can never be forgotten, the story was rated 8/10 by me.
