There are numerous reasons why schools should replace paper books with e-books; therefore, there are three main reasons why they should do so. Although some people believe that e-books are not qualified to replace paper books; however, it's the opposite, as studies have shown that e-books are better and more efficient than paper books. First, e-books cause less harm to the environment. As paper books require cutting down trees to make paper, e-books do not, which makes them less damaging to the habitat. Furthermore, studies from the greener ideal community have shown that printing paper books required cutting down 125 million trees, while e-books were zero. Also, paper books pollute the environment by using ink, and printing factories pollute the air. Second, e-books are easy to use. E-books can be carried around everywhere, saved, and shared with others. For instance, people can share their e-books with their classmates easily by e-mail, while they can't do that when they use paper books. Finally, e-books save money. Paper books are expensive because they require more materials such as ink, and paper to print them. While e-books are very cheap because they don't require any materials for people to use them. In addition, e-books can be downloaded for free in PDF format from the internet. To conclude, schools should replace paper books with e-books because they cause less harm to the environment, are easier to use, and save money.
