Rasht, the biggest city in the north of Iran which is the capital of guilan province, is situated in the southern shore of caspian sea. It’s also known as the “The City of rain” due to it’s large amount of annual rainfalls. The city is surrounded by extensive rice fields and vast jungles which proves it’s moderate and muggy weather. In 2005, UNESCO called Rasht the Creative City of Gastronomy for its rich culinary culture. Diversity of fresh vegetables and fish species provide a wide range of ingredients for delicious local foods. Rice and tea are two products which is cultivated annually in this agricultural city. Numerous natural beauties and it’s spectacular views attracts many visitors every year and made This cultural city as one of the popular destinations.
