Many people see animals as tools to be used by humans to better their lives. They believe animals should help feed us and keep us healthy by being subjects to experiments that will lead to new medications and medical processes. Others believe that animals should have the same rights to a good life as humans. Discuss both views and state your own.

It is said that animals have always been used by humans to satisfy their needs, especially for food and medicine. While others thought that animals should have been treated in the same way as humans do. With regard to the exploitation of animals, peoole are living in better lifestyles. Obviously, it is necessary to use animals in medical experiments. As a result, it helps to advance medical processes. The most famous medications, for instance, drugs for cancer and AIDS, have been involved in this kind of research. Moreover, a numerous number of animals are mercilessly killed for their mere flesh and skin as a consequence of the massive population. The consumer rate is growing day by day and so everything must be done to ensure human survival. There is no big difference between killing animals for food and testing them in medical breakthrough as long as these situations assist to improve human culture under any circumstance. Nevertheless, utilizing animals to feed people and keep healthy by testing them in medical process is not an adequate reason. One study had shown that animals can also suffer painand loss if they are kept in a cage for several hours. Another thing is that animals are not only used in medical research but also in cosmetic industry, which can tested on humans too. In addition, what everything needs for human body, vitamins and so on, can obtain from eating fruits and vegetables. Therefore, we, humans, have no moral right to treat animals like this and they should have the same rights to a good life as humans. To conclude, I am of the opinion, on balance that animals should have been respected. Although some argue that killing animals for food and medical researches are ethical, I would argue that there is sufficient evidence to demonstrate that this is not the case and steps must have taken to improve the rights of animals.
