Dropping waste materials on roads, grounds etc. , alternatively called littering has emerged as a serious concern for every sort of people living in cities. Littering has become as common as flu, especially due to carelessness and laziness of some people, who themselves later complain about the state of non-cleanliness of their city. They compromise the health of society as a whole. Some people argue of imposing higher fines to counter this. This may work for middle and lower classes but rich ones get off here. Another suggestion floating up in the air includes penalty of imprisonment for at least 2 years. This may be considered too harsh by some. The need of the hour is to spread awareness in the society to stop littering at public places and use dustbins. There is no need of enforcement by law if people stop committing such health crimes.
