job satisfaction is far less important than job security in the modern workplace

There is no doubt that living without a job is almost impossible. There are many people who think job security is much more essential than job satisfaction in the modern business. As far as I am concerned, job security is more significant criteria because find a new job is getting harder. Also, another considerable point is living expenses. In this essay, I will explain both points. First of all, nowadays, there are fewer vacancies and a lot of workers. The unemployment rate is increasing. It makes people to fear losing their job. For example, my older brother lost his job seven months ago. He just found a new job last week. Although the monthly income of the offer was really low, he accepted it because of the security of this job. If he did not think about security, he would continue to search for another job. Secondly, recently, living expenses are increased, especially rent. Many people think they cannot live without a job even one month. I would like to illustrate it with my own example; I argued with my previous manager and was fired two years ago. I could not find a new job for a while. I could not pay my rent and I had to move to my parent’s house. It was a shame for me because I could not manage to live without them. These feelings made me to think about the security of job when I got a job offer. In conclusion, due to the unemployment rate and living costs, I believe that job security is more significant criteria than job satisfaction.
