It is a natural process for animal species, such as dinosaurs, to become extinct, so there is no reason why people should try to prevent this from happening. V6Dg6
Many people argue that there is no need for people to protect species of animal from extinction because it happens naturally. In my opinion, I totally agree with this argument and this essay will suggest some reasons for this agreement.
Extinction plays an essential part in evolution. In fact, since life existed on Earth, there have been several massive extinct incidents. The dying out of a species may not be a detriment to the environment; by contrast, it will open doors for a wide range of breed to thrive. For example, millions of years ago, the disappearance of dinosaurs paved the way for a variety of mammals to diversify and grow larger. If those giant reptiles did not become extinct, other animal types would not have opportunities to evolve diversely.
Humans had better not deter the extinction of a certain species from occurring. Preserving critically endangered species from being wiped out may be opposed to natural evolution. It can be explained that extinction is the engine of the natural selection mechanism. In this way, if a kind of animal does not successfully adapt to circumstances, they will be wholly eliminated. Moreover, protecting animals that are at risk of extinction may cause more harm than good. For instance, some scientists introduced a pair of rabbits into an isolated island for preserving purpose. However, over a period of time, due to fast fertility, these rabbits entirely invaded the island and pushed the native animal species to the brink of extinction.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the extinction of animal species should take place without human interference.
